More and more people come to see the Colosseum! After the 2017 record with more than 7 million visitors, in 2018 there was another all time record: 7,650,519 visitors !!!
Visitors to Italian museums have increased by 5 million over 2017 (a 10% increase) and climbed 32 million Euro net receipts over the last year.
The top attractions in 2018, beyond Rome's Colosseum have been the ancient Roman city of Pompeii (3.3 million) and the Uffizi Museum in Florence.
Actually, the most visited Roman monument is the Pantheon, but there the entrance is free, therefore it does not appear in the statistics of museums revenues.
